The duo began performing in the Chicago suburbs with Tank on piano and Beez on vocals, playing exclusively tunes from the Great American Song Book. Over time, the focus broadened and the duo became a celebration of the roots of American music, which includes blues, jazz, early folk, and bluegrass from the late-nineteen and early-twentieth centuries. The current lineup features Beez on lead vocals and guitar, and Tank on backing vocals, upright bass, percussion, and blues harp. Brian Blankenship and Beth Blankenship (nee Malouf) were married in Chicago in September 2015. Tank and the Beez maintain a regular performance schedule in the Chicagoland area.
